Mujeres que hablan español (Women speaking Spanish)

It all starts with a dream. My dream is to become fluent in Spanish, and while I work towards that, this is what I imagine for myself in the future: Meeting up with a friend in a café and having a great conversation, where the words fly like they have wings and the passing fox stops and sits down in fascination, to follow our talk.

Here I have used different techniques: The background is painted with textile paint, while the roses are made by dipping fabric into acrylic paint. Matrials used are silk, linen and cotton, all recycled and handstitched. The picture is stitched to canvas and mounted onto a wooden frame.
